Oily skins are hyperactive skins that distinguish themselves by a shiny and oily appearance due to excessive sebum secretion.
Oily skins are a bit shiny and thick, which results in a dull complexion, expanded pores (multiplying imperfections), and make-up not holding well or failing to hold. The skin is often oily in the middle portion of the face, also known as the T Zone.
Oily skin is genetically determined and affects both men and women. Sebum secretion is mainly controlled by estrogenic hormones.
Excessive production of sebum could be caused by hormonal imbalances. Stress and pollution, life style, eating behavior, smoking, and inappropriate treatments can all be worsening factors. Climate conditions also play an important role (sebum turning into liquid during hot season).
An oily skin presents a hydrolipidic film very rich in sebum.
It is characterized by:
> A shiny, oily aspect in the T zone: the wings of the nose, the chin and the forehead
> A slippery touch
> A dull complexion
> Redness
> An irregular surface (thick skin)
> Pores are visible at first glance, enlarged, sometimes obstructed, often lodging a blackhead (black spot)
> An acneic tendency
> Makeup does not hold well
The aim is therefore to provide a line of treatments and hygiene treatments that allows:
> A perfect, long-lasting matte finish
> Narrowed pores
> An oxygenated skin
> A bright complexion
> A balanced, clean and purified skin
Based on these criteria, Noreva laboratories have developed a line called MATIDIANE®
